Char Dham  Opening Dates 2025 and Closing Dates

Let’s get those dates on your calendar! The 2025 season for each Dham opens with ceremonies and closes with a heartwarming tradition. Here’s the schedule-

Yamunotri Dham- Opens 30th April 2025 : The Yamunotri temple opens on the special day of Akshay Tritiya. An auspicious day which falls in the last week of April or the early week of May. Yamunotri gates will open on 30th April 2025, beginning with the spring festival and close on Deepawali. Mark your calendar.

Gangotri Dham- Opens 30TH April 2025 : Gangotri opens for pilgrimage on Akshay Tritiya (In April’s last week or May's first week) and welcomes travellers with peaceful riverside charm. The blessing begins on 30th April 2025 and closes on Deepawali as the temple closes with a traditional oil lamp ceremony performed by Pujaris.

Kedarnath Dham- Opens 2nd May 2025 : The Kedarnath temple opens its door to devotees on 2nd May 2025, coming this year. The temple's opening date is decided by Pujari (Priest) and temple administration at Ukhimath temple during the holy festival of Maha Shivaratri. The season ends with Bhai Dooj (the day after Deepawali) by closing the gate of Kedarnath temple with a heartfelt ceremony..

Badrinath Dham- Open 4th May 2025 :Badrinath Temple opens for this spring season on 2nd May 2025. The date of gate opening is chosen by the King of Tehri and their royal family and the Raj Purohit on Basant Panchami. The temple closes on Vijay Dashami (Dusshera) or around the second week of November, decided by Rawal.
